50 Minute Session $175.00 $135.00

Insurance

I am currently an in-network insurance provider with PacificSource. Before we set up an appointment, please reach out to me to talk more about your insurance coverage, I can help check benefits to determine your out-of-pocket costs for sessions. Your out of pocket cost will depend on your individual plans’s co-pay, co-insurance, and/or deductible.

Other Methods of Payment

I offer an immediate $40 discount for those paying at the time of service. This includes clients who are not utilizing insurance and may be self-pay or private pay.

I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards as forms of payment. Payment is charged after each session and can conveniently be paid online via SimplePractice. As a commitment to accessible care I offer several slots for reduced rates. If you have any questions about availability for reduced rate fees, please feel free contact me.

Cancellation Policy

In consideration of respect for both our schedules and time, I ask that if you are unable to attend a session, please cancel your appointment at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session. My goal is to serve as many clients as I can within the week and when I do not receive notice of a cancelled appointment, I do not get the opportunity to refill the time. However, of course life occasionally throws curveballs our way. If you are unable to attend a session due to an emergency please notify me when you are able, and you will not be charged for the session.

Specific Areas of Focus

Recovery from Attachment Wounds

An attachment wound is an emotional injury that can occur when an individual experienced emotional neglect, rejection, abandonment, or instability in a close and intimate relationship. Frequently, attachment wounds are sustained early in childhood and occurred in our relationships to our primary caregivers. We all learn to navigate the world and relate to others from our earliest childhood experiences. What we learn from these early experiences can influence the way we experience intimacy, vulnerability, trust, and inform our own self-concept. Seeking therapy to understand what we learned from these early wounds can give us the opportunity to rewrite our concept of what we deserve in relationships, unlearn patterns that no longer serve us, and learn to develop new types of relationships.

Perinatal Mental Health

Few other transitions are as significant and life altering as the transition into parenthood. Perinatal mental health is a passion for me because far too often new parents struggle with mental health challenges without having the proper support. It is estimated that perinatal mood disorders affect 1 in 5 to 7 women and 1 in 10 men. In therapy we will carve a space for you in your life where you are able to slow down, openly discuss the highs and lows of parenthood, and learn to focus on your own mental health because a happy healthy baby starts with happy healthy parents.

Pregnancy Loss

Experiencing pregnancy loss is a devastating and isolating experience. I have seen many women grieve and bear this burden quietly, but the experience of your journey and story should be seen and held. Miscarriages are estimated to occur in 10-15% of early pregnancies and it is a personal passion of mine to normalize the experience of discussing pregnancy loss and create space for women to fully feel and process their grief.

Birth and Pregnancy Trauma

Experiencing trauma related to pregnancy or birth is an experience that may never be able to put into words. These experiences can leave scars deep within a family that may never be seen, wounds that may never fully heal, questions that may never be answered. This inability to express the way this experience has irrevocably changed you may become a barrier between you and your partner, your family, or your friends. It is common during times of greatest trauma that parents experience strong emotions they are unable to understand, cope with or feel guilt for, however, they do not need to be alone during this time. It is equally important for parents to care for themselves and to address the wounds they’ve endured.

Personal experience has led me to support mothers and families during times of pregnancy, birth, and NICU trauma. Being present during these times has exposed me to a profound experience of trauma that is not often discussed. I have watched as supportive partners, families, and friends have attempted to support the parents, but falter in their ability to hold space for this experience. This area has become a deep passion for me to partner with parents to learn to process and talk about this staggering pain.

Infertility

Infertility is a long, arduous, and grief ridden road. For many enduring infertility, it is a road that has included months or years of monthly heartbreak, costly treatment, or painful medical procedures. Every birth announcement and baby shower invitation can be a joyous occasion, but also bring a quiet sorrow. It is often difficult for those in your life to understand the grief that accompanies passing time and the process of infertility. In therapy I hope to allow you the space to learn to cope with anxiety that accompanies the process of trying to conceive and to fully grieve the loss of infertility.
